Pelican taking a rest at Santa Catalina Island, California.  Just off the coast of southern California, Catalina is a popular vacation spot for families and adventurers alike – only a small section of the island is populated, with the rest set aside as a nature preserve.  Eagles, seals, and a herd of buffalo are among the local inhabitants.

    Great shot.
I also love that the island is full of ravens. We once took a tour of the interior and saw a congregation of raven, like a huge raven party. A RAVE(n) of Raven. 🙂 We love visiting that island because you just feel like you’re “getting away from it all.” Unless you’re trying to get away from Ravens and Buffalo. Then you’re out of luck.

I had no idea there were so many ravens there! It is amazing how it feels worlds away from LA. And the whole few car thing is pretty cool.
